A glimpse of the Rainbow

Many thanks to all who made last night's event an astounding tribute to Debbie Bielawski and her Family!!

Individual, group & business supporters helped us provide a few hours of respite and comfort to a family that has given so much, in time and service, to Bolingbrook families for over 16 years.

Debbie was selected as Bolingbrook "2009 Woman of the Year" and September 18th, we said....

In his humble acceptance, Dave Bielawski attributed this outpouring of encouragement & hope to the tireless efforts of his beloved wife, Debbie, who continues to gather us together because she believed we are all " Here for a Reason"!

Amazing Week.....Let's Keep Going!!

Many thanks to the individuals & companies that have pledged and donated their support toward this event!

On Sept 12th, a boy and a girl had the idea to sell lemonade and cookies at a garage sale of one of their families. Their only thought was to raise money to donate to the Bielawski family!!! We learned that there were 6 to 8 children, at one point, who were very busy handing out refreshments and receiving donations. By their actions, these children raised much, much more than money!!

Cheryl Simmons (Co-Chairwoman of Bielawski Family Fundraiser) shared these thoughts Sept 4th:

I can't believe how much has been accomplished in the past week! I am truly blown away. Actually, I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Debbie was an awesome person and that is why so many people want to help!...

T-Shirts honoring Debbie's Anti-Violence program

Maria Trezza is working with The Locker Room to provide a T-Shirt honoring Debbie's commitment to "Turn off the Violence - Turn on the Creativity!" Both Danielle Bielawski and Maria designed the white shirt which has purple lettering.
